Billie Mastin Yohan is the owner and lead genealogist at SeekingDeadPeople.com. She has spent the last fourteen years performing genealogical research in the United States, Mexico, the British Isles, specifically England, Ireland, Scotland, France. and most recently in Germany, Africa, and Southeast Asia,  In these areas, she knows the culture, record locations, and relationships between people, both emotional and genetic. She also has current experience with paleography, transcribing ancient documents, which is required in the historical records of England. Billie will research in all states and all countries. 

Billie received her degrees in Interdisciplinary Studies in the focus of Family History Research from Brigham Young University-Idaho. She has also received several certifications in forensic and genetic (DNA) research.

As a rising star in the genealogical industry, she was the first genealogist to be awarded the Naval and Marine Achievement Medal as well as the Distinguished Civilian Service Medal for genealogical work matching deceased soldiers with living family members, in February 2020. She has been nicknamed the "Sherlock Holmes" of genealogical research. Using her expertise, determination, and creative thinking, she is progressing towards her goal to become one of the best genealogists in the world.
